The 8,600 ton press, is one of the largest extrusion presses in the United States, with the capability to extrude both 16 and 20 inch round billets, and 10” X 28” rectangular billet with a maximum circle size of 29-1/2” and weight per foot of up to 85 pounds. It is the rectangular container that makes an incredible difference when it comes to the feasibility of specialty large intricate configurations, such as; one-piece extrusions resulting in fewer components parts and assemblies, reduced fabrication steps, and lighter-weight, stronger finished products. This allows you to incorporate whole assemblies of small components into one unitized extruded part.
