Taber extrusions is presently undertaking a multimillion dollar expansion at its facility located in Russellville, Arkansas by adding a new 4000 MT horizontal oil-hydraulic extrusion press for direct and indirect extrusion of tubes and profiles of aluminum and its alloys.

The press will be operated in a new 115,000 sq. ft building being built along side the present extrusion plant containing Taber’s 8,600 ton press, one of the largest extrusion presses in the United States.

The new 4000 MT extrusion press will bridge the size gap between the 3000T extrusion press in our Gulfport, MS plant and the 8600T extrusion press in Russellville, AR. The press when operational will be one of the most versatile presses in the United States. It will operate in both direct and indirect modes and have two separate processing lines for soft alloys (6000 series) and hard alloys (2000, 5000, and 7000).

The tentative completion date of the new 4000MT press is November 1, 2008.
